Renesmee

Renesmee is the half-human, half-vampire daughter of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan who are the main characters of the book series, Twilight Saga, written by Stephanie Meyer. Renesmee comes in the fourth and the final book, Breaking Dawn. What made me write a separate blog on Renesmee is her being such a different character for a baby, or maybe I am unable to give a right word for that. The name Renesmee has been chosen by Bella from Renee and Esme and her full name is Renesmee Carlie Cullen, Carlie being the combination of Charlie and Carlisle.

Renesmee has brown eyes which are said to be like her mother and beautiful and also her mother’s cheeks with a light pink touch in them and she has the complexion like Edward which obviously makes her very beautiful. Renesmee drinks blood from a cup from the start of her birth but she’s very patient with humans that mean she has not the uncontrollable factor for humans like the immortal kids and she also has the factor of fascinating anyone who sees her.

Bella is not allowed to go near Renesmee for some days after her turning into a vampire because she is thought to lose control with Renesmee as she has blood in her veins. Renesmee grows really fast, faster than any human baby and in weeks she looks years old. She can speak from a very young age but she prefers talking to people by touching their cheeks and necks and showing them her thoughts. That was the part I liked when she has to show converse with everyone by touching their cheeks. It was a nice part when Bella finally comes near Renesmee and she asks Rosalie, who is holding her, by touching her cheek that is she the one, means her mother and then she wants to go to Bella urgently.

Then there is the Jacob-imprinting-on-Renesmee part. It was a pretty good turn of the story, just when I was getting a little bored of the book, when Rosalie unconsciously holds her to her shoulder, Jake ready to kill her because he thinks it’s because of Renesmee that Bella has died and is in agony for losing her and the whole imprinting thing happens as soon as he sees that little face with those familiar brown eyes and how Edward is furious at that and later Bella also gets terribly angry but the whole thing is irrevocable and things somehow starts getting normal as Renesmee likes Jacob too and how Jake is all over protective of her and starts to get along with vampires because he has to. Well, it was weird how Jake got his imprinting too, when his first love Bella was now impossible while all along I had the notion that he and Leah would become a couple.

And then there was a part that Volturi thinks that Renesmee is an immortale child and comes to destroy her and Bella prepares for Renesmee and Jacob to run away if things got out of control with the Volturi. Though I knew that won’t happen but that was emotional how Bella prepares sadly for Renesmee to flee forever if they lost and the farewell by Edward and Bella. Anyway, reading about Renesmee was the only good part in Breaking Dawn and I was really, really fascinated by her in a weird way I couldn’t understand myself!

Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus

I started watching Disney Channel, which is a channel for children, when i was a teen and among many others, there was a show called Hannah Montana. The show was about a regular teenage girl named Miley Stewart who is also a big pop star with the name Hannah Montana and this side of her identity is completely hidden expect from her family and best friends.

The main Characters of the show are Jackson Stewart, Miley's annoying elder brother, Robbie Ray Stewart, Miley's Dad who was also a famous singer in the past but quit singing, also this guy is also Miley's real dad, Lily Trescot, Miley's best friend and assistant but with a changed name Lola, Oliver Okins, another of Miley's best friend and Rico, a guy of Miley's age but with a very short height who is an evil genius and runs and shack of food and beverages at the beach and where Jackson works.

I loved the show and i still love it. It has four seasons up til now and Ive watched almost every episode. When my cable operator stopped showing Disney Channel, i used to watch the episodes on internet.

The thing is most like about the show is that though it is a kid show but it gives me good laugh and i love her acting plus she is very pretty, duh, and also, i loved her outfits and especially her hair which remained long through season one and two. In the third season she has wavy shoulder length hair which became till her waist again in the fourth season and even though she uses extensions but still she looks good. I liked her hair in the fourth season the most, the brownish auburn hair with highlights, her loose curled waist length locks and her side swept bangs. She acts so naturally and frankly though some people thinks she is over-acting.

First two seasons, Miley looked like a cute kid in the first two seasons but by third and fourth season, Miley started wearing make up and looked mature and hot. "sweet nibblets" and "say what" are the dialogues she used to say a lot. Maybe there are others too but cant remember them right now. In the fourth season, they changed their house and moved to Malibu and i loved the house. Miley is originally from Nashville, Tennessee and hence she has a southern accent. Someone once asked me why i like the show Hannah Montana so much and i said that's because they present life from lighter side.

Getting famous from her show, which was the most popular show on the Disney Channel as none of the other shows got turned into movies, a movie was made of the show, Hannah Montana The Movie.

Her next movie was The Last Song and she gave her voice in the animation movie, Bolt. Miley is probably the most famous among her Disney co-stars like Hilary Duff, Selena Gomez, Raven Simone, Ashley Tisdale, Vennessa Hudgens and Demi Lovato because none of these actresses got as much fame in acting and singing collectively as Miley did and for the record, she was among the richest celebrities at one time.

Though she started as an actor but she is now more popular because of her singing. She has deep vocals that makes her singing good and she got the singing talents from her dad who was also a singer. The first ever Miley's song i loved was "best of both worlds" which shows in the start of the show. I love the songs, "can't be tamed", "let's dance", "see you again", "party in the USA", "if we were a movie", "the climb", "this is the life" and some others which i don't remember at the moment. She also has her autobiography written, Miles To Go, but i haven't read that. And I'm also of the opinion that Miley is a Free Mason.

I know there are also a few controversies attached to her name but celebrities are nothing without controversies and i don't like her because she's perfect, nobody's perfect, which by the way is also one of her songs, the point is, i just like the laugh that the show gives, her songs and her style, that's all!

Crispy Choco Bites

I am always searching for recipes which are new, within my budget and easy to make so you may get an idea how problematic that would be to find such recipe. So i came across this recipe on BBC Food and decided i will make it. It is a dessert and is called CRISPY CHOCOLATE BITES.

A somewhat difficult thing to make it was to find some muffin trays. But i managed to get my hands on muffin trays from a local bakery free of cost. It was a funny thing to explain to the counter guys what i wanted as they had probably some other name for it but then the manger interrupted and he understood what i want and maybe that's why i got them free of cost. This was a dessert which required refrigeration and that was also a good point. Though i love baking but i have a very outdated oven which is a big hurdle in my baking passion. Anyways, written below is the recipe as i noted from the channel and made it.

In a bowl, mix two or three Mars chocolate bars, breaking them to pieces, two sticks of a small sized butter, 2 1/2 cup corn flakes. Put the mixture in mini muffin trays according to the size of the tray. Refrigerate them for 20 minutes and VOILA, it is ready to eat.

Its that simple! The thing made would taste like any chocolate but crispy because of the corn flakes and smoother because of the butter. My siblings liked it, so that meant that it is approved. As a tip, muffin trays are not very important as they are just to give the hold otherwise it can simply be put on some plate or tray and that will do. Pretty kiddo recipe but still, it was worth it!

Stay tuned for my next tested recipe!

and i took the road less traveled by...

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood and I
Took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Ever since I changed my majors from engineering to commerce, I was unable to decide what to study for my graduation because there are like a hundred fields which can be pursued after commerce. I had so many choices, so many complications. All two years of my intermediate passed like this, thinking I should do ACCA so I can go to UK after that easily but that was a like a very wild thing to imagine, with a high improbability. But when the time came for a final decision, I had to put my finger on one thing. There was B.Com in which I could have gotten a scholarship but I didn’t want to do that as I didn’t find it up to my level, such was my vanity, and same went for BBA leading towards MBA. I had settled for commerce which was lower in value than engineering so I wanted to study something which could bring me back up to the level of medical or engineering.

I was in such a dilemma, what with my wish to study something prestigious and something which wouldn’t be a burden on my parents’ pockets. My brain has filtered all the minor details about what happened more, thanks to my poor memory, I just know I came down with my final choices which were Chartered Accountancy, B.Sc from LUMS or Punjab University. I took the entrance exam of Punjab University, scored really well which could get me into three departments there, but I shoved it aside, not wanting to go to this university. I didn’t even took the SATs, which was the entrance exam for LUMS because I just knew I wouldn’t get a scholarship and without it, I could never afford its fee, so I let it go, defeated. I wouldn’t know then what was in store for me.

And that was when a mighty help came from Allah and I decided to go for Chartered Accountancy. Getting in C.A is quite easy and I didn’t had to give any entrance exam because my percentage in the previous degree was fulfilling the entrance requirement. The degree is one of the highest ranking in my country and all over the world as well. When I started, I had very little idea as to how it works but being in the field for some time now, I’ve become strong enough to tough it out. Chartered Accountants are rare and the study is three times tougher than medical or engineering or any other. There is a high rate of failure in this because of the technical and strict exams as this degree requires perfection, hence the rarity and high value. You don’t need to be super genius to pass the exams; students who pass know “how to study” and “how to study thoroughly”. I have seen toppers flunking and average students passing without difficulty but a larger percentage of students in this field complete it with many failures. I, myself, am among those hundreds of students who have failed quite a lot after attempts and more attempts. The first time I flunked, I wept for three days and it felt like the world has came crashing on me as it was the first time in my life that I flunked but afterward, I got used to it somehow but the excruciating pain and hurt used to be there every time plus the disappointment and the effort to not get disappointed and disheartened.

There are quite a number of students who leave C.A without finishing it, dishearten. It was completely my choice, thinking this is the start of my pursuance of prestige. Who would have known how things would turn out? And here I am, sulking, smoldering, whining and wailing over my fate and fortune. I have always believed on the saying that “god keeps us where he knows we will grow best” and “everything happens for a reason” but when something bad is happening to you, all the motivating quotes and sayings seem hard to trust. There is no worst feeling then to see your juniors become your seniors and your own friends and class mates finish it way before you. It’s been three years now that I’m in this field, a time period in which I would have started my internship but I haven’t and I don’t have a clue as to when I will start because the start of internship means I’m halfway through it. 2 months before every final exam, there is only me and my books. My study time goes as long as 10-12 hours a day, no activities and when I flunk even after that, I’m left broken hearted. But I completely realize that if I flunk it’s only because of my mistakes and because I was a little less than 100 percent prepared just like those few inches from the red ribbon in a race which gets crossed by someone else.

It’s like my life is on a hold. There are some critics who say I’m not cut out for something this tough and dry but they shouldn’t judge me, they don’t know what’s in my heart and if i have passed even two or three exams, that totally means i can pass more. I’ve always gotten absolute support from my family which keeps me going but its heart rending to realize that I’m failing to come up to their hopes and expectations and for some time now, I’m feeling that all my courage to stand up again after falling is abandoning me and I frequently find myself weighing my options, which is another complicated niche, leaving me confused what to hope and wish for…
